Yuval Almog

Yuval’s contributions span across all stages of the enterprise building process including strategy, operations, financing, M&A, and corporate governance. Yuval is an active investor and has served on the board of directors of almost all of his investments. He has led dozens of Coral’s investments in diverse industries, such as telecom, media, internet, information services, systems and healthcare. The market capitalization of these companies have reached billions of dollars, and almost three quarters of Yuval’s investments became public companies or were acquired by another company.

Some of Yuval’s prior investments include: Advanced Fibre Communications (acquired by Tellabs; TLAB), Cerus (CERS), Macromedia (acquired by Adobe; ADBE), Magnet Communications (acquired by Digital Insight; DGIN), Optical Solutions (acquired by Calix; CALX), Red Bend Software (acquired by Harmon International; HAR) and vizrt (acquired by Nordic Capital).

Prior to becoming a venture capitalist, Yuval co-founded Zoran Corporation (ZRAN), a digital signal processing company in Silicon Valley, now a part of Qualcomm.  He also held staff and line positions with Raychem. Before moving to the United States, Yuval served as a fighter pilot, systems officer and instructor with the Israeli Air Force. Yuval holds undergraduate degrees in mathematics, computer science and economics from the University of Alabama and a Master’s in Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
